Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mine covers an area of 30 km2 that falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (Cow) covering a total area of 1,639 km2.
The resource base on 31 December 2015 includes 7.4 Mos. of gold and 69 Mos. of silver. Production commenced at Martabe on 24 July 2012. The operating capacity of Martabe Gold Mine is 4.5 tap ore to produce in excess of 250,000 oz. of gold and 2-3 Mos. of silver per annum.
PT Agincourt Resources engages approximately 2,300 employees and contractors, more than 98% Indonesians, of which 71% were recruited from South Tapanuli and other regions in North Sumatra.
To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:
ENGINEER – MEDIUM TERM PLANNING (MIN 1612063)
This position will be based in Martabe Site within Mining Department, working on schedule 4 Weeks On; 2 weeks Off and reports directly to the Senior Engineer – Longterm Planning.
The role of the Engineer – Medium Term Planning is :
• Work closely with mine operation/short term planning to ensure short term planning is in line with longer term plan
• Prepare required information/reporting for 3MRP, detailed pit sequences/stages, track gain & loss, spatial compliance against 3MRP, final wall sign on/off, water management plan, and other technical issues
• Prepare designs for pit, road, stockpile, waste dump, sediment pond, etc.
• Attend daily/weekly/monthly production meeting and communicate particular design concerns/issues where required
• Reporting works related to bi-weekly production report to Government Relations, Land disturbance for Environmental Department, Safety compliance, etc.
Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experiences:
1. Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering with an emphasis on computer skills
2. Have POP Certificate, preferably POM
3. Minimum 3 years and preferably 5 years of experience in mining operations and planning, preferably at hard rock mining industry
4. Experience in mine planning and scheduling for multiple open pit operations is essential
5. Knowledge and practical experience of related mining software, preferably Whittle, Surpac, Minesched
6. Understanding on the best practice of open pit mining operations
7. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas
8. Competence in speaking, reading and writing English
9. High level of computer literacy skills Ms. Word, Excel, Power Point
10. High commitment to PTAR standards in Environment, Safety, Business Ethic, and Good Corporate Governance
JUNIOR MINING ENGINEER (MIN 1612064)
This position will be based in Martabe Site within Mining Department, working on schedule 4 Weeks On; 2 weeks Off and reports directly to the Mining Engineer.
The role of the Junior Mining Engineer is :
• Ensure operation of contractor follow PTAR Operational plan and standard of Safety, Health, Environmental and Community Relations
• Ensure compliance of Kepmen 555.K/26/M.PE/1995 regarding General Mining Occupational Safety and Health and related regulations during contractor operational activity
• Assist superior to ensure mining operations can be carried out to deliver the planned ore to the process plant and waste to TSF
• Monitor and manage the mining contractor as per the mining contract, effective use of plant and equipment, and achievement of targets.
Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experiences:
1. Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering, preferably have POP Certificate
2. Fresh graduate, preferably 1-2 years of experience
3. Knowledge and practical experience of related mining software, preferably Surpac
4. Well and rounded knowledge of mining production and drill & blast, familiarity with projects works and cost control will be an advantage
5. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas
6. Competence in speaking, reading and writing English
7. High level of computer literacy skills in Ms.Word, Excel, Power Point
8. High commitment to PTAR standards in Environment, Safety, Business Ethic, and Good Corporate Governance
9. Enthusiastic, good interpersonal and communication skills
