Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mine covers an area of 30 km2 that falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (Cow) covering a total area of 1,639 km2.

The resource base on 31 December 2015 includes 7.4 Mos. of gold and 69 Mos. of silver. Production commenced at Martabe on 24 July 2012. The operating capacity of Martabe Gold Mine is 4.5 tap ore to produce in excess of 250,000 oz. of gold and 2-3 Mos. of silver per annum.

PT Agincourt Resources engages approximately 2,300 employees and contractors, more than 98% Indonesians, of which 71% were recruited from South Tapanuli and other regions in North Sumatra.

To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:


SUPERINTENDENT LAND MANAGEMENT - (CR 1701006)

This position will be based at Martabe Site and Community Relations Department, working on schedule 4 Weeks on ; 2 weeks off and reports directly to Community Relations Manager.

The role of Superintendent Land Management is responsible either for the completion process of the land acquisition and ensures all land acquisition and uses are in accordance with the applicable government regulations, or securing the land acquired from any illegal occupancy or cultivators. The skill of managing conflict caused by the land issues is a must since the operations used to be disrupted either because of the illegal land ownership or overlapping land ownership which ended with disputes.

Beside, many land claimers sued management even after the area be mined. This condition needs a strongly knowledge and skill of processing the legal documents of land and finding resolution of each dispute. Therefore, maintain and established good and professional relationship with local government institutions and government land team is an obligation to this position. Dealing with landowners and other interested parties is a sensitive issue. It takes a person who has high integrity and honesty during the negotiation process of land acquisition.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience: 
1. Bachelor Degree in Law or Geography or Social science, preferably Master Degree in Law. 
2. Minimum 10 years experience in managing the land acquisition, land monitoring and GIS database, preferably experience in Mining Company. 
3. Have a self-motivation discipline and ability to work as a Team Leader as well as a part of the team. 
4. An understanding of the principles and practices of demographic research and analysis would be desirable. 
5. Sufficient knowledge on the applicable regulations particularly on land administration. 
6. Good communication and report writing skills in Indonesia and English languages. 
7. Have a good, strong, pleasant and professional personality, with ability to easily adopt with changing government institution environment. 
8. Willing to work on high pressure conditions. 
9. Able to work and under control in an outrageous situation especially when dealing with the community.
