DEPUTY MINING MANAGER – 925002

(Kalimantan Based)

Some of your duties will include: 

• Assist the Mining Manager to co-ordinate all mining superintendent and all supervisors in the workplace of the removal of overburden/inter burden in a safe, effective manner on time and within budget in a designated area; 

• Ensure the selection of projects that match objectives of Business Plan by ensuring risks in tender and contract conditions are recognized and accounted for; 

• Plan, direct, monitor and reconcile the technical aspect of the mining operations including daily, short to long term (annual) plans, operational performance, blast design and sequencing, rehabilitation, drainage and road design, to assist in achieving agreed coal production targets; 

• Analyse and review the system, procedures and equipment utilized within the mine and recommend improvements to enhance coal production; 

• Maintain and facilitate clear communication with stakeholders, clients, customers, suppliers with respect to operational capability, performance and recourse requirements; 

• Ensure that outstanding HSE&Q outcomes is achieved.

What skills and experience do you need? 

• Tertiary qualifications degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline is essential; a minimum of 10 years’ experience in large open cut mining operation of which at least 5 years in production/supervision/management role as Deputy Mining Manager; 

• Have experience at mine planning, subcontract management, cost management and managing staff; Hold POM certificate of Mine Energy Department is preferred. 

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; good in coaching/mentoring and negotiation/mediation; good analytical; conflict resolution; sound decision making skills; excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.

SUPERINTENDENT MINING - 923931

Some of your duties will include: 

• Co-ordinate all mining senior supervisors and mining supervisors in the workplace of the removal of overburden/inter burden and coal in a safe, effective manner on time and within budget in a designated area; 

• Plan, direct, monitor and reconcile the technical aspect of the mining operations including daily, short to tong term (annual) plans, operational performance, blast design and sequencing, rehabilitation, drainage and road design, to assist in achieving agreed coal production targets; 

• Check daily production figures and use them to address the problem areas; 

• Minimize coal losses; 

• Analyse and review the system, procedures and equipment utilized within the mine and recommend improvements to enhance coal production; 

• Develop standards and procedures of work that can be applied across operations; 

• Maintain and facilitate clear communication with all stakeholders, clients, customers, suppliers with respect to operational capability, performance, and resource requirements.

What skills and experience do you need? 

• Applicants should have a minimum graduated from Senior High School or Degree in Mining/Civil Engineering is preferred; requires a minimum 5 years’ professional experience in similar role as Superintendent Mining in large open cut mining operation; 

• Mining heavy industry experience is essential; could operate mining equipment; 

• Good leadership and people management skills preferably with training in staff supervision; have ability in resource planning and OHS&E supervision; excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and written in English; be able to operate computer; conflict resolution; sound decision making skills; Posses POM (Pengawas Operasional Madya) certification at Mine and Energy Department.

SUPERINTENDENT PLANT - 923932

Some of your duties will include: 

• Ensure that the maintenance department goals are achieved; ensure maximum communication levels are maintained between workshop and operations personnel regarding breakdowns safety issues, and prioritizing of the equipment repairs; 

• Ensure plant operational activities are completed in a safe, timely, efficient, environmentally aware and cost conscious manner; 

• Ensure there is effective utilization of plant personnel and resources to achieve optimum performance in all facets; 

• Participate in the planning process to manage forward purchasing activities for components and parts; assist Plant Planning & Sites in the development of structured plant maintenance schedules; 

• Optimize major rebuild schedules with Plant Planning; Manage the relevant mobile plant assets to ensure 90% availability by proactive and continuous improvements to the asset base; 

• Lead, organize and provide direction for employees to ensure required performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes and the business results; 

• Proactively train workforce to meet plant operational requirements; 

• Liaise with OEM’s, dealers and suppliers to purchase parts and to optimize plant operational and cost performance.

What skills and experience do you need? 

• Applicants should have minimum Senior High School, Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Trade Specialist is preferred; requires a minimum 5 years’ professional experience in similar role as Superintendent Plant with relevant qualification in Mechanical Repair and Mechanic Supervision in mining industry, planning of daily shut down schedule and breakdown repair; 

• mechanical repair experience in Liebherr, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Coal hauling and lifting equipment; handling diagnostic skill in all aspects of electrical repairs; 

• good leadership and people management skills preferably with training in staff supervision; have ability in resource planning and OHS&E supervision; excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and written in English; be able to operate computer; conflict resolution; sound decision making skills; Posses POM (Pengawas Operasional Madya) certification at Mine and Energy Department; be able to work on shift roster (day and night shift).

SUPERINTENDENT COMMERCIAL - 925003

(Kalimantan Based)

Some of your duties will include: 

• Assist Project Manager to control the projects financial outcomes to meet or better company objectives; and Lead, organise and provide direction for employees to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes in commercial; 

• Provide support to the Project Manager in the preparation and evaluation of all issues relating to the AROAMS mining contract; assist the management of the Commercial Department and other contracts of the Site Mining Operations while ensuring a safe professional environmental is maintained.

What skills and experience do you need? 

• Senior level; Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineer, Commercial, Mechanical Engineer or Mining Engineer with minimum of 10 years’ experiences in either mining & civil discipline and minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role as Superintendent Commercial

• Experience in quantity and financial modelling appropriate to task requirements.

SUPERINTENDENT SUPPLY CHAIN - 925029

Some of your duties will include: 

• Responsible for the management of all Warehouse and Supply Chain Operations; 

• Liaise with the Balikpapan and Jakarta Logistic to efficiently expedite materials to site; 

• Review and monitor of all Store costing, receipts, issues, storages, allocation, and inventory levels; 

• Liaison with the Store Supervision on the logistics and procurement of all purchasing, and movement of plant and materials, by road, longboat, airfreight, shipping and LCT’s; 

• Communicate effectively with all parties on matters relating to receipts and deliveries of Spare Parts and/ or operational materials on arrival; 

• Ensuring that the best pricing and practices are put into place and monitored in relation to maximizing the best financial outcome for the Project; 

• Liaise with Central Warehouse Balikpapan for the management of the JDE Warehouse Centralized to the Stores; 

• Management of the Rigging, Transport, Loading and Unloading of all materials/spare parts from the port o the Stores; 

• Management of all stock takes and reconciliation’s in relation to unders/overs; management of the Fuel and Oil requirements, shipping, receipts and daily stock-takes, and reconciliation’s; 

• Managing the correction of daily cost committed, follow up with journal and reversing cost in the system; 

• Assisting Planning Section in relation in correction on Work Order and any other financial issues; 

• Liaise with Site Admin Manager/Project Manager in all of financial issues.

What skills and experience do you need? 

• Minimum of Degree qualification (S1) in any discipline; requires a minimum 5 years’ professional experience in management role as Superintendent Supply chain with demonstrated Financial management, Cost administration, Inventory Control, Warehouse management and Logistic management skills;

SENIOR SUPERVISOR MINING - 925024

Some of your duties will include: 

• Provide a range of geological and geotechnical analysis for mining activities; 

• Conduct geological and geotech analysis and provide solution to any stability issues; providing mine planning and production personnel with data on the geological and geotech conditions predicted for mining; 

• Ensuri maximum coal recovery in the most cost effectively and safe manner; maintain coordination level with Site Geologist and Geotech Engineer to get more accurate recommendation.

What skills and experience do you need? 

• Minimum of Bachelor degree of Geology or Geotechnical Engineering with minimum of 8 years’ experience in open pit coal mining operation, Previous experience at a mine site preferred and minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role as Sr. Engineer Geologist and or Geotechnical; 

• Proficient in mining principles, mining design concepts & operations in both coal, mine operation regulatory requirements; heavy machinery operations practices, Mincom or similar packages; possess government certification of POP (Pratama Competency Test); 

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical, adaptable and fast learner person. Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written; and computer literate.

SENIOR ENGINEER LONG TERM/ MINE PLANNING - 924989

Some of your duties will include: 

• Organize and provide direction for engineers to provide the technical mine design, scheduling, monitoring function and data analysis for the mining operation by ensuring maximum productivities, coal recovery in the most cost effective safe manner, providing competent and professional long term mine planning.

• To ensure the target set by the project are met in a time and quality manner;
